Summit on Spreading the Christian Message While Staying Relevant

300 Church communicators gathered in Rome for a 3 day summit to reflect on the importance of spreading the Christian message while continuing to be relevant. The Pontifical University of the Holy Cross is hosting a conference these days to discuss the theme “Communicating the Christian Message in the Plurality of Contemporary Voices.” 50 speakers will speak in the sessions, in addition to the university’s 35 professors. Professor Jim Macnamara from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, joins to tell us more about this seminar and what its main purpose is. Professor Jim was one of the speakers at the conference. He shares more about his message and the theme he focused on. “Listening” is one of the focal points at this week’s summit. Professor Jim discusses how important it is to recover the value of listening considering that society tends to talk more than listen, especially in the world of communication.
