G.K. Chesterton’s Life and Work Permeates Classrooms Nationwide

The life and work of a beloved Catholic author is continuing in the classroom. The Chesterton Schools Network, named for G.K. Chesterton, began in 2013. It seeks to help Catholic schools establish a classical education model and the Network is now part of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton. Currently, more than 100 of its students are on a pilgrimage to Rome. Joining us tonight is Dale Ahlquist, President of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton, who shares more about the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton and their Catholic schools. He also gives us insight into their motto, ‘Culture of Life,’ which was inspired by Pope Saint John Paul II, and explains how the pontiff plays a role in their work. As Ahlquist joins us from Rome on pilgrimage with more than 100 students, he gives us highlights of the trip thus far and sheds light on how parent-led Catholic schools across the nation are making a difference.
