Pope Francis in Africa: Discover the Catholic Community that takes care of abandoned children

Join us as we speak with Fr. Pierre Etienne from the Chemin Neuf Community in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This Catholic community, with an ecumenical vocation, has been serving the poor in Kinshasa for almost 50 years. During the Pope’s 40th Apostolic trip, members of the community attended some of the papal events.

Fr. Pierre Etienne shares with us the unique and important work of Chemin Neuf in caring for abandoned children on the streets of Kinshasa and reuniting them with their families. Despite the seemingly impossible task in a city of 15 million, Fr. Pierre Etienne explains how this work of reconciliation and rehabilitation is a miracle through the help of volunteers, prayer, and the love of God.

Don’t miss this inspiring story of faith and love in action.
