A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the EWTN Vatican Office

Three days in Hungary, with various meetings planned. Among the topics to be discussed is the future of Europe, as well as migration, ecology, and the family.

In the heart of Rome, just a few steps away from Saint Peter’s Basilica on Via de la Conciliazione, sits the EWTN Vatican office. Since 2012, EWTN journalists, producers, editors, cameramen, and Vatican experts have been working in this bustling hub of journalism, where contributions are not only made to EWTN in the US but also to EWTN’s affiliates around the globe. The office is responsible for creating the half-hour news program, Vaticano, which is translated into 12 languages and broadcast worldwide. Correspondents from the global EWTN news family report on the Pope’s activities and provide coverage on other events happening within the Church. EWTN journalists report the facts and historical events, contact people from the inner circle of the Church, and make sure that the Pope’s message is heard around the world. Even during the Pope’s final journey, EWTN is there to provide coverage. The EWTN Vatican office is the engine room of evangelization, where threats to the millennia-old institution of the Church come together.
