First female Korean Ambassador to the Holy See appointed

Korea has a new ambassador to the Holy See. Hyunjoo Oh comes to the Vatican from the United Nations in New York. She is Korea’s first female ambassador to the Holy See. 

EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief, Andreas Thonhauser, had the opportunity to interview the new ambassador. Ambassador Oh discusses her first meeting with Pope Francis and what she would like to accomplish in her time in Rome. 

She explains the events she is planning in order to strengthen the relationship with the Korean Catholic Church. She shares how the Catholic Church is doing in Korea. Ambassador Oh tells us what she will bring home from her time in Rome and her talks with Pope Francis.
