Pope Francis Among World Leaders Marking Today, World Water Day

Pope Francis is among the world leaders marking today as global World Water Day. Established in 1993, this day celebrates creation and raises awareness of the 2 billion people living without access to safe drinking water. The Holy Father says he is praying for the success of a UN conference on water, taking place this week in New York. Senior Advocacy Officer for Food Security at Caritas Internationalis, Musamba Mubanga, joins to tell us more about World Water Day and why it started.

At the end of the General Audience, Pope Francis spoke about World Water Day. Mubanga shares what the Pope said and what it means when the Pope weighs in on this issue. The United Nations invited her group to share some of the best practices on water projects. Mubanga discusses what her organization told the UN.
