On February 24th, a prayer vigil was held in Rome to honor the victims of the war in Ukraine, on the first anniversary of the Russian invasion. The vigil was attended by Cardinal Angelo De Donatis and Bishop Dioniso Lachovicz, among other faithful, who stressed the importance of fighting for peace and reconciliation with God’s help. Refugees from Ukraine also attended the vigil, highlighting the global concern for the situation in Ukraine. The event was a powerful reminder that prayer can unite people towards a common aim, and that peace is possible with collective efforts.
