On June 23, Pope Francis hosted a special gathering in the iconic Sistine Chapel, bringing together 200 artists from various creative disciplines and 30 different nations. The occasion marked the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Vatican Museums’ Collection of Modern Art. During the meeting, Pope Francis expressed his deep appreciation for the bond between the Church and artists, describing it as a natural and special friendship. He recognized the artists as “sharers in God’s dream,” emphasizing the importance of their visionary perspectives and the ability to inspire others through their artistic expressions.
