Over the past month, Rome—and the world—have welcomed their new Bishop and Pope. Look back with us on the landmark events that have already begun to shape the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV.

One of the most symbolic milestones: the Holy Father has taken formal possession of the Cathedral of Rome, St. John Lateran, as well as the other Papal Basilicas in the Eternal City.

Meanwhile, Church leaders and theologians gathered in Rome for a major symposium to reflect on the future of the Church under this new pontificate.
