Pope Francis’ in Hungary: Calls for Inclusivity and Warning Against Abortion and Gender Ideology

Pope Francis completed his 41st Apostolic Voyage abroad with a three-day visit to Hungary, engaging in seven events and delivering six speeches. During his visit, he met with civil authorities, blind and disabled children, refugees and the poor, and young people, urging them to reach out to the vulnerable and accept Christ’s forgiveness. While there was much joy on the part of the Hungarians for the Holy Father’s visit, the war raging in nearby Ukraine cast a palpable cloud over the entire visit. Pope Francis called for inclusivity and warned against the evils of abortion and gender ideology. He also spoke about the need to build a Europe centered on the human person and its peoples, with effective policies for natality and the family. While the Holy Father and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán have been at odds on the issue of curbing migrants from the Middle East and Africa, Pope Francis reminded us to welcome the stranger and that God’s loving embrace is for everyone. Don’t miss this recap of Pope Francis’ important messages during his visit to Hungary.
