The Vatican opens the wonders of its Vatican Gardens for Marian pilgrimages in May

The Vatican Museums offers a series of Marian pilgrimages planned in the month of May in the Vatican Gardens, with the possibility of themed guided tours.

May is the month dedicated to the Blessed Mother, and the Vatican Museums are offering a unique opportunity for pilgrims and tourists to explore the many images of Our Lady in the Vatican Gardens. With a series of themed guided tours planned, visitors can experience a spiritual, cultural and naturalistic journey unlike any other.

These themed guided tours, held every Wednesday and Saturday, provide a unique opportunity to discover how the Popes have honoured Mary over time in this peaceful and exclusive setting. From the oldest Madonna, a faithful copy of Our Lady of Lourdes from France, to the newest addition from Latin America, visitors can admire the various Madonnas from around the world while enjoying the botanical and artistic marvels of the Gardens. The initiative offers a precious opportunity that allows visitors to admire how, over time, the Popes have honoured Mary in this unique garden, designed as a place of prayer and contemplation, Vatican News reports.

Of particular interest are the statues of Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Guadalupe, both beloved by Pope Francis himself. The pilgrimage is open to all, including families with children.

The guided tours are conducted in Italian or English and are fully accessible to persons with sensory, motor, and intellectual disabilities. This ensures that everyone, regardless of their ability, can enjoy the beauty of the Vatican Gardens and its Marian pilgrimage.

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the Vatican Gardens and experience a spiritual, cultural, and naturalistic journey like no other. To book your tour, simply email education.musei@scv.va and get ready for an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression on visitors from around the world.
