Vatican Push for Peace in Ukraine: The Church’s Diplomatic and Humanitarian Initiatives

From the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Pope Francis has condemned the war and called for an end to the violence. But the Church has not stopped at prayer and spiritual support. The Holy See has launched its own offensive to ease the plight of the Ukrainian people and bring a stop to the conflict.

This video documents the Church’s diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives, including the Pope’s visit to the Russian Embassy, the Secretariat of State’s advocacy for a peaceful solution, and Cardinal Konrad Krajewski’s delivery of aid in the name of Pope Francis. It also features interviews with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Andrii Yourash, and Fr. Oleksander Zelinskyi, who discuss the challenges of restoring peace and the role of faith in times of war.
