Vaticano Updates: Bells of Notre-Dame Ring Again

Notre Dame’s bells rang for the first time since the fire. Pope Francis hailed it as prophetic. He promoted the Rosary for the Jubilee, added St. Isaac to the Martyrology, and prayers were asked for a priest in Singapore.

The bells of Notre Dame Cathedral rang out for the first time since the devastating fire, a powerful milestone ahead of its reopening in December, which Pope Francis hailed as a prophetic sign. The Pope also highlighted the significance of the Rosary during the Jubilee Year of Hope and honored St. Isaac of Nineveh by adding him to the Roman Martyrology. Meanwhile, prayers were requested for a priest attacked during Mass in Singapore, and Australia’s Ambassador to the Holy See announced her departure.
